Marc's Quite Simple Guide v3.0

This guide is based on my own Maple Story experience and tips from
friends of all classes, from which I would like to thank especially
Yuhan, Daniel, Benjamin, Yuval, Jessey, Derek, Connor and everyone I've
teamed up with that made me be happy enough to write this guide for my
fellow fighters.

1. What are fighters?

Fighters are supposed to be soloing machines, they deal heavy
damage to single targets, and even more as they become crusaders.

They specialize in either swords or axes, information about their third

2. AP Guide - Care to put your ability points in the right amount?

You'll need a certain amount of Strenght(STR) and a bit of Dexterity
(DEX) to use your equipment and weapons.
A safe point to stop adding Dexterity would be somewhere between levels
80-100, or you might want to keep it so you have DEX enough to hit
monsters like Zakum sooner.

*NOTE* THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU SHOULD KNOW UNTIL LEVEL 70.
The perfect build for a warrior is to roll the dice at:
12 STR
05 DEX
04 INT
04 LUK

Actually, the first two stats doesn't really matter, as in 7 levels you
can raise your strenght to 35, which is the minimum required to become
a warrior, what you must have is 4/5 INT, 4/5 LUK, being 4 and 4 a
perfect, though it takes time to be achieved, you'll usually get 4/5,
5/5, it's not bad and won't do much of a difference at higher levels.

The most important thing to be remembered as a warrior is: Your
Dexterity(DEX) must be equivalent to twice your level. Example :
Level 10 = 20 DEX
Level 15 = 30 DEX
Level 20 = 40 DEX, and so on..., until level 30.

When you reach the fabled 30th level, you might want to add all you
points in Strenght(STR).The motive for that is that your Briggon (Level
35 Glove), needs 125 STR and your Knukcle, (Level 40 Gloves) needs 150
STR.
After reaching level 40, you might want to restart your Dexterity(DEX)
raising.
Keep in mind that from now on, every 10 levels, to use your gloves,
you'll need 30 STR each level,
which gives you 20 points to be added in DEX every 10 levels.
It might be impossible to retrieve your Dexterity(DEX) to the desired
Twice as your level, unless you get the armor which gives Strenght(STR)
bonus, and increase them with scrolls, but actually, if you would do
that, you would rather enjoy the high damaging of having such a big
increase in Strenght(STR).

An ideal build for your strenght if you prefer to wait some levels to
wear your gloves would be :

Level 10 - 40 Strength

Level 15 - 55 Strength

Level 20 - 70 Strength

Level 25 - 85 Strength

Level 30 - 100 Strength

Level 35 - 120 Strength

Level 40 - 140 Strength

Level 50 - 180 Strength

Level 60 - 210 Strength

Level 70 - 250 Strength

3. SP Guide - How to build your skills?

I'll explain what each skill does before giving you a list on where to
spend your SP.

Improving HP Recovery : This turns your base 10 HP recovery every 10
sec. to a maximum of 60 HP per 10 sec.

Improving HP Max Increase : This will make your HP grow more each
level. Example : It would increase 10 points per level, now it might
increase up to 50-100.

Endure : This allows you to gain HP while hanging on ropes or ladders,
first, at every 30 sec., to a maximum of (amount achieved by Improving HP
recovery) HP per 10 sec.(same as standing on the ground by the way).

Iron Body : This increases your Weapon Defense for some time. Since
monsters don't use weapons, at least you won't see them wearing weapons
for a while, think of it as the damage of being ran by monsters, or
ranged attacks such as Nependeaths' seed spitting.

Power Strike : The main attacking skill for
Warriors/Fighters/Spearmen/Pages, whatever you are.
Uses a small amount(You will find it quite expensive first off, but
you'll realize it's cheap later) of MP to deal a devastating blow(not
that devastating at the beggining, but even so devastating) to your foes.

Slash Blast : The second skill for Warrior/Fighter/Spearman/Page.Uses a
small amount of HP and MP to deal an attack that pierces trough your
enemy skins and hits those near or behind him, hitting up to 6 enemies.

Now, to the first SP Guide.

Level 10 - 1 HP Recovery
Level 11 - 3 HP Recovery
Level 12 - 1 HP Recovery, 2 Max Hp Increase
Level 13 - 3 Max Hp Increase
Level 14 - 3 Max HP Increase
Level 15 - 2 Max Hp Increase, 1 Power Strike
From here on, you'll have to choose wheter, you're maxing Power Strike,
to which I'll refer as PS from now on or Slash Blast, to which I'll
refer as SB from now on.
Level 16 - 3 PS/SB
Level 17 - 3 PS/SB
Level 18 - 3 PS/SB
Level 19 - Save 3 SP
Level 20 - Save 3 SP
Level 21 - 9 PS/SB
Level 22 - 1 PS(20) 2SB(depends on which you chose to max first) OR 2
SB(20) 1 PS
Level 23 - 3 PS/SB
Level 24 - 3 PS/SB
Level 25 - 3 PS/SB
Level 26 - 3 PS/SB
Level 27 - 3 PS/SB
Level 28 - 3 PS(20)/SB(20)
Level 29 - 2 HP Recovery, 1 Endure
Level 30 - 2 Endure

This is a guide that goes for attacking skills, which might take you to
a fast leveling to level 30.

This is my brother guide, which he made based on mine, then made
changes after Max HP Increase.

Level 10 - 1 HP Recovery
Level 11 - 3 HP Recovery
Level 12 - 1 HP Recovery, 2 Max HP Increase
Level 13 - 3 Max Hp Increase
Level 14 - 3 Max Hp Increase
Level 15 - 2 Max Hp Increase, 1 Power Strike

Level 19 - 3 SB

Level 22 - 1 SB, 2 Endure

other one in the early 2nd Job)

This ends your Warrior life with:

5 HP Recovery
10 MaxHp Increase
3 Endure
13 Iron Body
20/10 Power Strike
10/20 Slash Blast

Rage and Mastery, but you can spend on anything else.


Second Job Information :

Mastery - This should be raised to level 19 or 20 before you start
bringing up any other skills.
The increased minimum damage and accuracy is very important.

Final Attack - This is a good choice if you like to fight powerful
monsters with Power Strike or Slash Blast instead of normal hitting.
It lets you land an extra attack right after using a skill attack
(Power Strike or Slash Blast) without using any MP.
However,it can hurt you if you don't know how to use it.
Because a Final Attack takes less time to use than a normal attack, it
may hit the enemy before it recovers from the first knockback.
This results in a failure to knockback the enemy with the Final Attack,
even if you do sufficient damage.
Against slow enemies such as Stone Golems, this is not a big problem.
On the other hand, a normal speed monster may hit you before you
kill/knockback with a third hit, and a pepe could even avoid your attack
if it is lucky enough.
To get around this problem, either fight monsters that you will almost
always kill in 1-2 hits.

Booster - This is a very important skill if you use two-handed axes.
The reason for this is because two-handed axes are the slowest of all
weapons available to the Fighter.
However, adding points increases the duration and decreases HP/MP cost
without making the weapon any faster.
For this reason, you only need 5-6 points to start off with, and can
add more later.
At level 6, it costs 24 HP/MP and lasts for 60 seconds.
This skill should probably be taken second or third if you use two-
handed axes, and any time you want for other weapons.

Rage - This is an extremely useful skill.
Once you raise it to level 19-20, it adds 10 Attack Power, which is
like having a sparta stronger than a doombringer, which is what having
a weapon 10 levels higher means.
After using Iron Body, the defense penalty is completely negated.
After applying multipliers from Power Strike and Slash Blast, this can
easily raise your damage by a few hundred per hit. This would make a
good second skill if you don't mind spending the extra MP on it.
It costs 20 MP for 160 seconds at level 20.

Power Guard - This is a powerful defensive skill. When you are hit with
a touch attack(when you are ran or hitten by monsters), it reduces the
damage done to you by a certain percent and also does that amount of
damage to the monster.
For example, an attack that would normally do 100 damage to you would do
only 60 to you with level 30 Power Guard, and would also do 40
damage to the monster.
However, it has a fairly high MP cost and short duration compared with
other Fighter spells.
This skill will reduce the damage you take by a lot, but also eats up
MP pretty quickly and has to be recast often.
It's up to you to decide when the HP it saves you is worth the MP and
repeated casting.

4. Training Guide, I told you what to add, but how are you going to
earn these points?

Levels 1-10 : Snails, Orange Mushrooms, Slimes and Snails.

Levels 10-15 : Slimes are your better choice here.

______________________________________________________________________
Levels 15-20 : Slimes are still a good choice, tough you'll start
getting attack skills here so Pig Beach

Levels 20-25 :
Victoria Island :
Pigs are your paradise, and I actually had much fun
there with my good warrior partner, with who I kept fighting to see who
would level faster, and by the way, having a friend of your level might
heat you up to making a lot of leveling so you outlevel him, or just to
reach his level.
Ossyria : At Aqualand, several sealife are weak and you may want to try
this place though I wouldn't recommend.

Levels 25-30 :
Victoria Island :  
Warriors aren't much appreciated at Party Quest, mostly
known as PQ, but from now on, you can handle Ligators finely, as well
as Curse Eyes and King Slime, Neckis are a pain in the ass so just leave
them to the mages/sins/archers.
Your other alternative are hunting octopuses at Sleepywood's Hidden
Streets,  pigs are still a wonderful choice,
or, if you have a good weapon, or by level 28 or so, with a normal weapon
you can go Wild Boars.
Ossyria : If you don't like Wild Boars you can kill Jr. Sentinels at 20th
floor of Orbis Tower or some sealife at Aqualand (don't forget Air
Bubbles)

Levels 30-35 : Congratz, you now are a fighter, or at least I hope you
are if you're reading this guide.
Victoria Island :
Your reward is, more wildboars, really, this is the only thing you should
fight.
Ossyria :Jr. Sentinels are still an option for wild boars and sealife at
Aqualand might be easier now.

Levels 35-40 : Well, now you are where most warriors lose their fun in
Maple, but please try not do it yourself.You can still fight wildboars
here, but you might be sick of them by now..., if you are a Shield
bearer you might want to move to fireboars ASAP, but being a two-handed
weapon wielder, it'll be more profitable to remain in Wild Boars until
level 38 or so.
{An option for fireboars is Jr. Cats, in Orbis, as well as leattys,
tough these damage you higher, the cats are usually called kitties, and
there are three types of them, you might want to fight Jr. Lioners, the
yellow ones, since they drop warrior equipment, Jr. Cellions are the
red ones, they're good for getting flaming feathers, tough lioners got
them as well, but with a smaller drop rate, the third ones are Jr.
Grupins, though due to the high number of fire mages around,(they're weak
against fire as cellions are against Ice and Lioners against Lighting),
that place is usually crowded}.

BUT...NOW WE HAVE LUDI PQ!!!
"So what?" you may ask, since we're low level and being warriors most
people won't want us on their parties.
Yah, that's true you all know, warriors aren't needed in any part of PQ,
but one thing to know about Alishar is :
Sins and magicians suck against him, bowmen and warriors can pawn it in
instants so every once in a while you WILL get in a party, but perhaps it
ain't good to get there...yet for I suppose you really ain't strong
enough to do much of a difference.
We also have Ludi monsters which we can't forget eh?
Ratz in Eos are exactly like kitties and boars, and you maybe could try
blocktopus, but they're still hard.
Teddy bears, duckies and toy soldiers(these will be a challenge)are
somewhat like kitties and boars or ratz.
In Aqualand you may want to try one of the other sealife though I
wouldn't advice you to.I actually don't like fish >_>.

Levels 40-45 : Well, now you are on the upgrading area, the moment
where you'll start to get sick of wearing the same set of armor for 10
levels, get used to it tough, there's no alternative other than wearing
weaker armor..., Fireboars are still a good choice, tough I prefer Jr.
Kitten at Orbis.

Ludi PQ is easier and more rewarding now, but you can try ratz still, toy
soldiers, pandas in the inner clock tower and little or platoon chronos,
but not Master ones.
Sealife at Aqualand is nice, try out to see what can you kill.

Levels 45-50 : Fireboars now are kinda...., loss of time, kitties are
wonderful for making money, but if you prefer experience to money,
you'll prefer Copper Drakes, tough you'll have a short profit there in
the early 45's.
Ludi PQ now is a must for fast leveling.Toy soldiers ain't worth anymore,
neither pandas too much, but tobos aren't either for they are a bit
stronger than you.
There are also trixters along with blocktopuses in EOS which are very
fair for leveling, they're the average leveling but rather boring, and
boringness spreads easy on this game though I may be wrong, it's just I
that find they boring, if you like them...Have fun!
The nicer choice I've found is block gollems with a cleric or with a 3-4
people party of people around your level.Of course you can still try
block gollems without a cleric but it is almost profitless since you'll
be basically paying for the pots you spent and only making a profit for
pieces of equipment you find.
There's also Sealife, I haven't trained on the monsters for this level
yet but you could try since they seem to give average drops and XP.

Levels 50-55 : Copper Drakes and Stone Golems shouldn't be a problem for
you any more.Crocos also yield some nice drops with the same EXP as Stone
Golems.
You can also try fighting various sealife at Florina Beach, or Cold
Eyes, Drakes, and even Wild Cargos in the dungeon, as well as Jr. Pepes
at bottom of Orbis' Tower or if you are strong enough Jr. yetis and
hectors at El nath.
Block Gollems are fairly easy but profitable and I find the funny.
There's still the sealife though once again I haven't killed things
around this level.

Levels 55-60 : Deep in the dungeon continues to be a good training
area. At this point, you should be able to hunt even Tauromacis without
dying too easily, Jr. Yetis, Yetis and hectors/white pangs are good as
well, you could also try some zombies, though I don't think those are for
warriors even though nowadays many warriors train there with all they
got.

Level 60+ : Since the only monsters left in Victoria Island that won't
die too easily are things like Red Drakes, Dark Stone Golems, Wild
Cargos, Tauromacis/Taurospear, and Jr. Balrog, you might want to move to
Ossyria as a definitive decision.Yetis and Dark yetis are still wonderful
for leveling, creatures like Jr. Bulldogs and Firebombs which you could
face a long time ago are also a good option, but you should go there only
now, because you may find an occasional cerebes on some of the screens,
and they are still an enemy to be dealt with carefully. Werewolfs are
tough, but you might want to try it near level 70 or at least 65.
The boogies and other stuff in Ludi are like yetis or maybe werewolfs...
but I don't have much experience there, I like El Nath better...

About Ludi, the inner parts where Death Teddies, boogies, klocks and all
that stuff reside is very nice though you may want a party because I find
it all quite spooky looking which leads me to boredom.

5. About Swords and Axes.

Sword
Damage: Higher minimum damage and lower maximum damage. Their damage
will be more reliable.

Speed: Swords tend to be faster, although the speed of two-handed
swords and axes are fairly even at level 80. Price: Swords and their
upgrade scrolls are more expensive than axes.


Axe
Damage: Lower minimum damage and higher maximum damage. Their damage
will be less reliable.

Speed: Axes tend to be slower, although the speed of two-handed swords
and axes are fairly even at level 80.

Price: Axes and their upgrade scrolls are less expensive than swords.

Well, for now, this guide ends here, I'm always playing Maple, so I
might add more stuff anytime.
